It may seem kind of silly to reword nursery rhymes, but it is actually very helpful. I learned that journalist print their story by the word. Meaning that each word cost money, the fewer the words, the less money it costs to print the story. For each rhyme, we had to reword it so that it makes sense without the long words. I thought this tasks was fun and interesting. It brought back memories of my childhood. It was very nostalgic. It was also, in my opinion, very easy to do.

Pitch Doucument
This year we learned about pitch documents. For me, pitch documents were the hardest tasks this year. It required the students to go around the school and interview at least 3 people. It was hard for me to go to certain people and asks the questions related to the topic I choose. I would've gotten a better grade, if I just did what my teacher told me to do. She told me to interview the custodians for the topic and I failed to so. For other people, this tasks was the easiest this year. They were able to interview the people they needed to.
CPJ Protection of Journalist
When learning the CPJ: Protection of Journalist, I was complete shock. I learned that America is one of the few countries that believes in freedom of press. Journalist have to be extremely careful while writing a story in another country. When going on the website, I saw different news articles about Journalist either being killed or kidnapped. This lesson opened my eyes that being a journalist is not as easy as it seems. It is actually very dangerous. Journalists put their lives on the line to get the truth to the public. It is very brave for them to do that. One story that surprised me the most was the David Pearl Story. He was a jewish journalist in a Pakistani. He was kidnapped, held hostage and taped killed on tape.

Gym Uniforms !!
The school policy of the students having to wear gym uniforms is insane. We don't wear uniforms during the entire school day, so it makes no sense to wear them for gym.
